Welcome

Welcome to JeterFansForLife's Blog. We will be allowing more Yankee fans to talk about their favorite Yankee if it's Derek Jeter or not. We want our members to be allowed to voice their opinion because this is a place that four fans want to let other fans be heard.

"The Day I Was Struck By Lightning"

They Day I was Struck By Lightening
By pinstripe7

My favorite Yankee memory occurred to me when I was 12 years old. My parents took my stepbrother and me to Fenway Park to see the Yanks take on the hated Red Sox. We arrived for the first of the two games we were to attend and found our seats. When we found our seats I discovered we were right behind the Yankee bullpen. I stood glued to the fence calling out to my idol of the time Dave Righetti. I kept calling and calling but to no avail. I did not get to meet my idol but and it was at that time that i was struck by lightning. I stood there crushed and all of sudden the pitcher who was warming up walked over and handed me the ball he had been using. I was unable to speak. I knew not what to do i just stood there with the wide eyes of a 12 yr. old boy. I turned around to show the ball to my mother with excitement in my voice. I then turned around to watch Ron "Louisiana Lightning" Guidry exit the bullpen and head out to the mound to start the first Yankee game i ever attended. So you see on that day i was not only struck by lightning but i also got bit by a "Gator."
